FEM Cholesterol Control contains Reducol®, a phytosterol mixture which has significant LDL cholesterol lowering properties; as been evidenced by years of clinical research. This claim is backed by the FDA and now allows cholesterol lowering claims for plant sterols. This phytosterol mixture is not from soy but from non-GMO tall oil from the coniferous pine tree.

FEM Cholesterol Control consists mainly of the 4 major phytosterols: betasitosterol, campesterol (in the free sterol form, not as sterol esters) and campestanol, sitostanol and has worked well for a variety of our patients. For best results, use in combination with FEM Omega 3 and Intest Restore. “Research has demonstrated that when patients on statin drugs ingest phytosterols, an addition of 10 percent LDL reduction was achieved; adding sterols or stanols to statin medication is more effective than doubling statin doses. Furthermore, effects are additive with diet or drug interventions: eating foods low in saturated fat and cholesterol and high in stanols or sterols can reduce LDL by 20 percent.”

Dosage: Take on capsule with each meal or all three at one large meal or as directed by your FEM Centre health care provider.

Contraindications: Women who are pregnant or lactating as well as anyone with a pine allergy should not take FEM Cholesterol Control.
