Miriam Torres, M.D.

Miriam is a board certified OB/GYN specializing in gynecology. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University in Denton with a B.S. in chemistry and biology and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for her medical degree. She completed her residency at Wayne State Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

She has received the Sidney F. Bottoms M.D. Award of Excellence in Research, the Angela Y. Dourron M.D./Maimonides Award for Excellence in Compassionate Patient Care, and Recognition for Outstanding Performance in Obstetrics by MFM Department.

Miriam has been and continues to be an innovator in minimally invasive surgeries, hormonal balancing, cutting edge protocols for breast health including thermography, HALO™ breast pap test, and breast sonograms.

She says, “I take time to listen, as well as provide the best possible care for each individual patient as I would do for my own family member.” And adds this bit of free advice: “Live well, eat well and take time to appreciate life’s simple pleasures.”
